To most men, beard hair growth is natural. You reach puberty and outcomes tiny specks of hair throughout your chin and cheeks and by the time you reach adulthood, voila! A fully grown beard! However, some 77% of men don’t get to experience the same. Many have patchy beards, some have beards that grow completely thin, and then there are those faces with beards that would look better without that distasteful pile of hair. Read our exploration of Beard Growth Products to know more.
Now, we look forward to beard growth products that assist us in growing that glowing hair across our face and thus achieve that bang-on beard. The problem with men is that we spend a lot of time worrying about our features and less time thinking of the solutions. Have a bad beard? It’ll grow on its own. Maybe buy a generic hair growth solution over the counter. But there’s one in a hundred chances that these beard growth products actually work despite their charlatan claims of growing beards like the heavily bearded model in the picture of the box, who probably never even used Hellman’s Beard Growth Serum. What we ask you to do is buy a product that suits your situation. Instead of buying an all-in-one solution, buy oil or a serum that will remove the patch that you have or create a fuller look.
Before leaping onto know what to buy for a fast beard recovery, here is what you need to know about facial hair and how it grows on your body.

Everything about Beards
Beards which are the basic form of facial hair for men are androgenic hair. That means it depends on male hormones to grow. Back to science class, some of the male hormones are testosterone and dihydrotestosterone, in other words, DHT. The rate of your beard growth and overall facial hair accumulation becomes low when the levels of these male hormones are low. And as you can guess, your beard will grow if these levels are high.
What you should also know is that these hormones bind to receptor sites called Androgen receptors. If testosterone and DHT bind to androgen receptors around the facial hair area, this will stimulate the growth of your beard. In a lot of our products mentioned below, you will find some of the beard growth products have ingredients that work as DHT blockers. DHT or dihydrotestosterone is produced from the testosterone hormone itself when an enzyme named 5 alpha-reductase comes in contact with it.
If the amount of this enzyme increases, there will be an abundance of freely moving DHT which will cause your hair to shed. What we need is a balance for this androgen king, which will only be achieved when DHT is produced and gets to work instead of moving freely. Beard growth products help to achieve that by destroying an increased amount of 5 alpha-reductase while also boosting testosterone.
You may have understood that your beard products need to stimulate these hormones along with other factors. This is what your product should cover.
- Boost testosterone and DHT production
- Increase the volume of the sensitivity of your androgen receptor, aka. the skin along with your beard
- Provide micronutrients and increase blood circulation of hair follicles.

Ingredient Safety for Beard Growth Products
It’s okay to buy beard growth products but not at the risk of harming your overall health. That means, do not try the secret recipes your coworkers bring you. First of all, these have not been tested by the FDA. Even though these oils from “special” plants have been used by their grandfathers or Santa Claus for thicker beards, they are not backed by science. You should know many natural ingredients have been proved to have side effects and found out to be carcinogens.
Apart from homemade recipes, there are also over the counter labeled products that contain ineffective ingredients, if not harmful. Look for ingredients such as silicones, parabens, and perfumes which act as DHT blockers. Parabens include sulfates, formaldehyde, phthalates, and paraffin. Sulfates, formaldehyde, and phthalates have been added by companies to create lather and moisture (which your beard doesn’t require) or as preservatives and have been proved to have side effects including cancer. Paraffin like petroleum jelly, mineral oil, and petroleum are popularly thought to moisturize the skin, but in reality, they just create a layer that sits on the top of your skin disrupting our hormones and promoting allergies. The downside for your beard is that they block the release of sebum which moisturizes your beard naturally. However, white petroleum or fully refined petroleum is safe.
Nutrients are the proper way to grow your beard along with improving the health of your body. Vitamins and minerals work as cofactors for your hair follicles to boost the production of facial hair. These same nutrients produce testosterone, and with the help of an enzyme, its metabolite DHT. A reward for keeping your body healthy! A good beard growth product will contain vitamins and minerals which you may have inadequately causing your body to have a hard time growing hair on your face.
The most important nutrient for the beard is Biotin. Among water-soluble vitamin B complex, Biotin is Vitamin B7, also known as Vitamin H. Mostly known for hair, nail and skin development, Biotin is used in beard supplements and shampoos so that the Keratin it contains can meet your daily need of vitamin B7 if your hair is not growing due to its deficiency.
Vitamins D and E supplementation also increase the levels of testosterone, thus stimulating the growth of your beard. This is an additional benefit other than improving the structure of your muscles, bones, and teeth.
Minerals that stimulate beard growth include Calcium, magnesium, selenium, zinc, and boron. These supplements, when inserted in the body, are found to influence the secretion of testosterone and DHT, and consequently accelerate beard growth.
Chemical-based Ingredients for Beard Growth Products
Apart from nutrients, your beard growth products should have a science-based chemical that will act to either prolong the production of new hair follicles, make way for permanent hair follicles to grow, or increase the sensitivity of androgen receptors to bind to hormones. They can be used alone or along with a moisturizing balm.
If you have tried beard growth products before, you may have heard about Minoxidil (Rogaine). An anti-hypertensive vasodilator medicine, Minoxidil is commonly known as blood pressure medication. But, it has shown to be incredibly useful and is the only FDA-approved drug to grow facial hair since the ’80s. The medication can be taken orally or topically, without any subscription, to increasingly produce new hair follicles. Although not yet intended for this particular purpose, Minoxidil is in widespread use to grow insane beards.
You should however note that once you stop using it, your hair follicle production will decelerate and go back to how it was before. As striking as it is in facial hair production, you can consider discontinuing when the long, dark, and thick hair (terminal hair) of your beard is growing continuously with massive improvement.
A derivative of the drug minoxidil, Nanoxidil was created at a lab in 2011 by the cosmetics company, Divine Skin. The molecular and absorption rate isn’t the only difference between the marketed products of Nanoxidil and generic brands like Rogaine. Yes, the higher absorption rate leads to better penetration of Nanoxidil into the skin. The compound also has lower risks of unwanted side effects and yet, grows new hair follicles when compared to its rogue counterpart. We can assume that Nanoxidil will soon take the place of popular Minoxidil after the widespread examination.
Not as notable as the renowned Minoxidil, yet the Stemoxydine is a molecule that allows hair growth. The formula targets stem cells and build an area for the skin cells to decrease oxygen. This reduction of oxygen or hypoxia actually helps your cells to survive. Any cell, which had been sleeping turns back to its first stage (anagen) due to Stemoxydine. Good beard growth products may not have minoxidil, but it will have well-researched ingredients with absolutely no side effects, unlike Minoxidil.
Plant-Based Ingredients for Beard Growth Products
Most beard growth products add natural proven plant-based ingredients along with the main chemical ingredients as an added remedy as well as for fragrance, for those who want to depend on natural ingredients and also achieve promising results. Some of these plants include sorghum, oysters, olive oil, castor oil, peppermint oil, saw palmetto, pomegranate juice, and coffee. These herbs, fruits, and oils are rich in antioxidants and minerals which increase circulation around the face, maintain beard growth hormone levels, or provide nourishment to your existing hair.
Again, as future users of the optimal growth solution, we should consider some factors that will help us comprehend what we are actually looking for.
Factors to Take under Consideration
Method of Application
Beard growth products have different forms of application available in the market. Each of them has slightly different results and the problems you have with your beard should be considered before purchasing them. They could be oral or topical as the ease of the user. There are also ancillary forms that can be taken in combination with the main product for smoother hair growth or reduction of skin dryness.
Serums when rubbed on to the skin, have the maximum potential of reaching the tissues inside that skin, and then work its magic. No wonder most companies sell beard growth products as serums! They are great for patchy beards as well as a spot treatment. And you don’t even have to worry about weird smells.
You may have heard of the skin’s natural moisturizer, sebum. Why oils then? When you smother your beard or someone else’s beard, if you find the hair frizzy and rough, the only reason is their lack of understanding of the necessity of oil as a moisturizer. Oils are usually paired with two kinds- Essential oils and Carrier oils. Carrier oils such as argan, castor, and jojoba oil contain fatty acids that are healthy for the skin. Then again, essential oils such as peppermint, sandalwood, and rosemary have a number of benefits including adding thickness to your beard, encouraging hair growth, and removing dryness and itchiness. It also penetrates your skin deeper but since it’s not a chemical combination particularly for your beard, it is less effective than a serum.
Pills have been created for those who are deficient in nutrients thus causing the thinning of the beard. These pills mostly contain biotin or small amounts of vitamin D and E. They have a high nutrient count and improve your hair follicles along the way. Do not trust “beard growth” vitamin pills as they were manufactured just for the sake of marketing and the best compliment to them would be being under-dosed on nutrients. However, pills are easy to take as you can just pop ‘em in when taking your morning medication.
What everyone loves about sprays is that sprays are so convenient! No need of messing your hands with creams and oils when you can press a nozzle. Shoot for a few seconds off to work. If you consider effectiveness, the factor lies in not how you apply for your medicine but for how long. Lotions, oils, and serums work better as they are used for long periods, unlike sprays, unless your spray has a really effective formula like Rogaine (minoxidil). Effective formulas will show results, but to be on the safe side, if you’ve applied enough, you’re fine.
As terrifying as that sounds, and despite the fact that this sounds like a dare only an Asian would try, microneedling is in fact, harmless. Yes, it’s for puncturing invisible holes into your skin, and the truth is, it’s highly effective. You can try out a beard roller, like a derma roller across the areas you want your beard to grow and it will do its job. The blood circulation under the skin will intensify, first of all, providing your tissues with the minerals it needed. And secondly, your sleeping hair follicles will revive. Microneedle can be tried once or twice a week during the course of your medication.
It is true that possibly all of us have absolutely no motivation for taking care of ourselves. We’re supposed to moisturize ourselves twice a day- once after bathing and once before going to bed. I can tell that none of you reading this have ever done that more than twice. Even I haven’t. But your beard needs your attention. Your routine can involve a lengthy process of balms, shampoos, creams, and oils with the derma roller in regular time intervals for an entire 6 weeks. In that time, strong and coarse hair (terminal hair) will develop and grow uniformly shoving off those weak thin specks (vellus hair) which were destroying the image of your jawline. But, if you’re the lazy-ass employee who rushes to work in five minutes, then taking pills and going slow sounds more practical, although longer.
Country of Origin
The place where your beard growth product has been manufactured could be somewhere other than the US and not dedicated to Caucasians. But, the chances that they don’t work because of your race are zero to a minimum. Many plants such as ashwa which have been enhancing beard growth have originated in Asia and Africa, and surprisingly, natives may not even know it and perhaps have been using them for other medicinal purposes. If you’re taking beard growth solutions, it’s suitable to take those listed with drugs legal in the USA. Otherwise, you don’t have to worry.
If you’re looking for cost-effective answers to your problems, then there are various out there starting from as low as $20. Prices of beard growth products depend on factors such as the form of product, packaging, ingredients used, and process of marketing. Oils, for example, are inexpensive and can last up to 3 months, whereas supplements are a bit higher in the price change and can last for 30 to 90 days. Also to note, you will have to keep using your product until your beard has completely filled in and that too uniformly. Luckily, we have ranked out the products out there in consideration to long term costs and also to not puncture an immediate hole in your pocket.
When buying products that take days to show results, it’s ideal to purchase products with excellent customer service and decent return or refund policies. None of us want to spend money on services that ask you to call after a few days or even ignore you when you want to complain about a faulty product. Nevertheless, some brands do have quality products along with neat policies of granting 30 – day refunds or returns to keep up with their name. You will however need to end a bottle or two to see results for some brands and that’s where we come in handy. To give you an overview of reliable ones so you don’t have to be the victim of some aggressively marketed firm which disappears after dropping 5 expensive creams in your hands.
10 Beard Growth Products for Men
1. Thorne Research (multivitamin)
We all know that vitamins are essential for physical development. Your body is enriched with micronutrients that reach all parts of the circulatory system to revive dormant cells. Thorne Research is a multivitamin formula that has basic nutrients to boost your immune system as well as get your hormones pumping.
As you have figured out from our extensive research, micronutrients work as units of construction to produce a substantive beard. And we thought, why choose a particular low-dose supplement that takes care of just your beard? Why not boost your overall health along the way?
Thorne Research has easily absorbable capsules that can last for one to three months according to the recommendation of your physician. The capsules contain 2000 IU of Vitamin D3 for every two capsules as well as soluble forms of Vitamin B2, B6, and B12. Among the several minerals added to the tablets, you will find selenium and zinc which have been mentioned to work with your body to create testosterone, and ultimately, the androgen king, DHT.
To sum it up, Thorne Research is way better than Costco vitamins and will help you grow an overall healthy beard if the reason for your baldness is a low and unbalanced diet.
2. Beard Guyz (multivitamin) Beard Growth Products
Ideal for a flourishing beard, the Beard Guyz is a serum that has a blend of vitamins to moisturize your skin along with your facial hair. This beard serum depends on natural oils, shea butter, pea extract, and oakmoss extract to hydrate your skin. If you want a neat look with no frizz, you can leave the serum on and let it take control. The 1oz bottle releases Keratin (from plants), vitamin E oil, and Protein (Beard Guyz formula) to penetrate your skin and stimulate beard growth.
Fantastic property of this beard growth product is that instead of smelling like the chemicals it constitutes, it has a fruity fragrance of citrus. The scent is quite relieving and you won’t have any itchiness left behind. Since the serum has a hint of citrus, you should on a safe note do a patch test behind your ear or on your neck.
One thing you can note about Beard Guyz is that they stand by their words. You will be able to see results between two to three weeks. Nevertheless, they have a well-written return policy with a 100% refund if you are not satisfied with the outcome. But, I’m accurate you’re going to try another bottle after this one for outstanding results. In a word, if you wish to have a nourished beard, the Beard Guyz takes care of your moisture content and is applicable for patchy beards.
3. Sky Organics (oil) Beard Growth Products
A masseuse for your hair, this cold-pressed castor oil is a favorite for moisturizing your hair into deep relaxation. Castor oil comes from a castor bean plant named Ricinus communis and is known to be a natural hair conditioner and intense moisturizer. Sky Organics offers it 100% pure, which means no added chemicals, ingredients, alcohols, or even preservatives like formaldehyde.
The oils, vitamins and fatty acids of the beard growth product create not only a fuller beard, but also can be applied to any form of hair for incredible volume. The fatty acid within the oil has humectants that connect to the skin and promote the growth of hair follicles. It’s like an all-in-one solution to all your hair problems.
Have itchiness or dandruff? You know who to turn to-a cold-pressed pure castor bean plant in a 16 oz bottle. What I like about the Sky Organics castor oil is that it is USDA certified vegan, organic, cruelty-free, and responsibly sourced. The oil itself is thick so you can add it to other oils such as peppermint oil when applying. You will be able to see results within less than a month.
In a nutshell, the Castor Oil by Sky Organics is a wonderful moisturizer and is helpful to those with a thin beard. Since it’s 100% pure, you can also use it to reduce dryness and itchiness, grow more scalp hair, and also remove constipation in old folks.
4. Kerastasé Beard Growth Products
No, it’s not a beard growth product. But unlike other hair growth products that depend on natural ingredients for growth solutions, the Kerastasé Hair Density program has a chemical-based formula that runs a mechanism to stimulate the tissues of hair follicles wherever you apply. The Densifique has a solution of Stemoxydine to stimulate hair loss. Stemoxydine is a solution patented by Loréal for hair gain in the scalp. After several trials and errors, Loréal has claimed it as the best alternative to minoxidil, and unlike minoxidil, it is side-effect free. Experts have used the scientific formula for beard growth and found an increase in the density of their beards.
You could try Keratasé as a beard thickening serum and expect an enhanced beard within a month. Now, you can go to your reunion looking like a man! The application involves rubbing in the serum after a wash and some light towel drying. You can rely on it to increase the diameter of hair strands and plump up the skin resolving issues of dryness and itchiness. The Stemoxydine present has proved to increase hair thickness by 4%. So you can tell, after caressing your fatass beard, that the Kerastasé was an excellent mix backed by science.
However, although incredibly expensive, it may take a month or two to show results, and not as effective as the ever-popular Minoxidil.
5. SPECTRAL.BRD Breakthrough Beard
Lesser known in the market, but lab tested for superior results, the SPECTRAL.BRD by DS Laboratories is a serum made with a unique compound Nanoxidil. No, this is not a typo. Nanoxidil is another compound patented by Divine Skin in 2011, compared to Minoxidil in the ’70s. This is a deviation from the original formula with one lesser carbon molecule. Fortunately, that’s not the only thing that’s less. Nanoxidil is a novelty for the treatment of hair loss and has fewer side effects of heart problems and headaches. This solution boosts beard thickness, diameters of hair strands, and diminishes inflammation as well.
The Spectral.BRD also contains compounds of Piroctone Olamine and adenosine which conduct treatment by increasing hair follicles for the anaphase (birth) stage. And that’s not all, feature ingredients such as biotin, niacin derivatives, caffeine, castor oil, copper peptides, and more are present to energy your weak skin from every angle.
The only reason the serum hasn’t reached the top is that its prime ingredient, Nanoxidil is fairly new and though it has shown promising results, it still needs to be used widely among a larger variety of people to show what side effects lie hidden.
Free from harsh chemicals, the serum has not been tested on animals. The best part about the beard growth product is that the plastic is oxo-biodegradable, and biodegradable is love. Men who are looking for an environmentally friendly treatment for a fuller denser beard or to begin with specks of tiny hair, need to wait for just two weeks.
6. Delta Genesis (multivitamin) Beard Growth Products
A capsule formula for beard growth, the Beard Grow XL is one of the many products by Delta Genesis that offers solutions to facial hair problems. I admit that beard vitamins are overrated and underdosed, but the Beard Grow XL has my vote. It’s not exactly a vitamin capsule and more of a nutrients one.
This facial hair supplement is packed with nutrients and constitutes plant-based ingredients that is found in only the best beard products. The formula comprises a high dose of Biotin and Pantothenic Acid in association with Saw Palmetto and folic acid. Not to deny the fact that it has countless beneficial nutrients such as Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and Vitamin B complex. So you can tell, it’s loaded with riboflavin, niacin, and biotin. Rambling on the nutrients may take days, so let me cut short.
Labs behind the face of Delta Genesis have constructed a supplement that gives birth to hair follicles, not just for stubble over the chin, but for thickness and growth of hair over your sideburns, mustache, neck, and cheeks. I would’ve recommended it as a vitamin tablet but the Pantothenic Acid presents (20%) have been added to prevent your hair from graying.
The main purpose of Beard Grow XL is to provide micronutrients in their 60 tablets that your body might be lacking. The deficiency of these micronutrients is caused by a lack of a balanced diet and your body presents it with low testosterone levels and slows to no blood circulation in some areas. Grow and thicken your beard with a beardman’s favorite that is completely plant-based and gluten-free as well.
7. Wild Growth Beard Growth Products
A complete hair pack in a 4 oz bottle, the Wild Growth Hair Oil brings oil back into the game. The Wild Growth is an oil that can be leveraged to treat baldness and hair breakage. The primary oils in this bottle are everything you’d find for in a healthy salad, coconuts, olives, jojoba, and pomegranate.
That’s not all; this beard growth product has 20 key ingredients to make one formula. Of these ingredients, some more noteworthy components are mushroom, chickpea, lentil, sesame seed, cocoa mass, grapefruit, and eucalyptus oil.
As we have discussed carrier and essential oils at length earlier, let me explain the rest of the ingredients in brief:
Mushroom: Closely linked to the prevention of hair loss, can be extracted for Vitamin D.
Cocoa Mass: Cocoa mass is of high demand in the cosmetic world due to minerals such as magnesium and calcium. These minerals are known for the production of necessary testosterone and DHT for hair growth.
Sesame Seed: Sesame seed oils are specially used in home remedies for hair growth. They contain phosphorus, calcium, and magnesium which also stimulate skin cells for hair growth and increase the diameter of hair as well.
8. Biotopic (serum) Beard Growth Products
If you’re looking for a healthier way to heal your hair, consider the Biotopic Regrowth Plus. The Biotopic is a serum that can be leveraged to treat male baldness and receding hairlines. The 1 oz. the bottle consists mainly of Biotin, Saw Palmetto, and Caffeine.
That’s not all, this beard growth product has 33 key ingredients to make one formula. Of these ingredients, two more noteworthy components are argan oil and Anagain. As we have discussed Biotin at length earlier, let me explain the rest of the ingredients in brief:
Saw Palmetto: Closely linked to the prevention of hair loss, Saw Palmetto blocks DHT producing enzymes. Although the body needs DHT for beard growth, (freely moving) DHT is in fact, a reason for baldness
AnaGain: A marketed formula from Pisum Sativum, commonly known as garden peas, the AnaGain stimulates tissues that produce and thicken hair.
Argan Oil: Argan oil contains fatty acids that increase proliferation between the hair cells and activate the anagen (birth) phase of the beard.
Caffeine: Caffeine doesn’t necessarily mean this morning’s coffee remains stored in the fridge. The caffeine in Bio topic has antioxidants that boost cell production.
9. Regenepure (spray)
Unlike the regular Minoxidil foams and solutions, the Regenepure is a lab-tested carefully built Minoxidil spray. The spray has been designed with men’s painstaking baldness in mind, medically known as androgenetic alopecia. One advantage of using a spray is that there is much less wastage than foams and droppers and yet, it does the job.
Minoxidil works best when used pure state with no added chemicals and that is why this was the only formula used as 5% in Regenepure. The concentration works immediately when applied to treat areas with minimum to no hair. The target of the spray is to supply particular parts of the scalp and allow circulation there with nutrients and oxygen that are necessary for stimulating hair follicles to grow.
With repeated use, you will observe the overall thickening of your beard, the increase in the density of new hair, and a complete transformation of the natural growth stages of your hair. What happens to the previous hair then? When you first apply, all your thin small hair will shed. So don’t get scared. It’s part of the process. Terminal hair which is thick, dense, and strong will form and grow kicking out all your weak fragile hair.
The Precision Minoxidil Spray by Regenepure has a 30-day return policy but will charge a few bucks for restocking. This is because of the already known side-effects of Minoxidil which I hope may not reveal themselves in your case. Do not try it unless your physician gives the all-clear sign.
10. Kirkland Signature
The Kirkland Signature can be described in one word – Effective. The Kirkland is a Minoxidil (Rogaine) solution that comes in a 2 oz. dropper bottle. The serum contains the minoxidil in liquid form that can be applied to your beard for beard growth and scalp for hair. It’s quite fascinating how the beard growth product works on completely empty skin and restores life to dead tissues. Too bad it’s not for women.
As you know, the formula of Kirkland, Minoxidil is a blood pressure medication with incredible hair growth effects which once occurred as a side-effect, but hundreds of scientists are still finding noteworthy results of this particular drug. The fact about the Kirkland is that it is a much cheaper and pure form of the solution compared to other forms available on Amazon.
You can expect this hair re-growth treatment to present and outcome after application for two months, twice a day. There will be two primary outcomes that you will be able to notice – increase in thickness of your beard and birth of hair in more areas of your beard. This birth presents the anagen phase of your hair cells, which after three stages, will grow into thick long and coarse hair.
Who knew beard growth products by Costco would turn out to be the best in the market for beard hair growth. Seems like Costco has done its homework! The secret, although now open, lies in the ingredients of the Kirkland Signature hair growth solution. The product has visible results with two months of application and has been used by thousands of men to treat common beard problems such as beard thinning, hair shedding, patchiness, and the high cost of beard wigs for dating other beard lovers. Now, you know what’s best for you. Although you may have presumed from the features of the best beard growth products that minoxidil or rogaine, whatever you call it, wins by default.
Lastly, allow your beard time to grow as every person has a different reason for beard baldness. And also give your beard growth products the chance to work its magic. So don’t lose hope. Your beard may not grow due to other factors such as genetics or underlying diseases. Have your physician check you out and allow you to use the beard growth products to be safe. Hope this guide helps you get THE BEARD! Let me just add, beards are awesome!
Frequently Asked Questions about Beard Growth Products:
How long will it take to see results?
That depends on the form of treatment you are using. If you are applying topical solutions, it may take two weeks to a month to see results. But, if you are taking pills and capsules, it may take a while. Perhaps your beard may grow out within a course of one to six months. You will need to be patient if you are undertaking oral treatment.
Are there any age restrictions for using the products?
Yes. Do not use any of the beard growth products unless you have turned 18. But, older people have no limitations to use any of the products. While the pills are basically vitamin capsules and will have no issues with your health, some of the products contain chemical compounds that will penetrate through your skin. Consult with a physician before application.
Are the products actually effective?
Yes, the products are effective. That is the reason they have made it to our top 10 list. The products contain science-based and plant-based ingredients that have been clinically tested and used widely to show results. Although it may take a while, the products are effective, if you have the patience to wait.
I have small thin white hair. Will they become bigger with the usage of the products?
The thin white hairs are vellus hair. They are short and usually smaller than 2mm. They will not grow taller with the treatment. But they will give way to thicker, bigger and coarser hair called terminal hair. When you apply the products, the DHA cells will give rise to hair follicles. These hair follicles will then produce terminal hair that will turn into your beard hair.
Will my hair grow thicker and faster if I shave?
Unfortunately, no! This is and always has been a myth. Shaving does not help your hair grow faster or thicker. When your beard hair comes out of your skin after you shave, it feels thick. This is because the hair is extremely short, and strands appear thicker when short. As it grows, the beard will look thicker and that would’ve been the case if you had just let it grow. If shaving would’ve been the solution, no man would be without a beard.
